|Duties and responsibilities
Responsible performing a variety of engineering studies and analyses to implement plans and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for specialized mechatronic products; establish proprietary quality procedures and standards; improve and maintain customer satisfaction by interfacing with customer and production facilities to improve quality of the specialized product; establish customer contact through visitations, telephone calls, and other means available, to obtain customer concerns and issues, and disseminate concerns to appropriate departments and facilities;
serve as customer representative, ensuring that customer requirements are addressed, including selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives and related timing, corrective and preventive actions, and product design and development; design specialized forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data; utilize ISO/TS 16949:2009 Internal auditor, VDA 6.3 Internal auditor, Problem solving core tools (8D, 315W, 5Why’s), Control Plan/PFMEA and Manufacturing Site Assessment to perform duties;
develop and implement specialized methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material, and to assess cost and responsibility; coordinate the measuring and testing of specialized products and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability; and develop and initiate specialized standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, and maintain records of customer quality concerns, quality costs related to warranties and corrective actions.

Bachelors – Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronic Technologies Engineering, Computer Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Three (3) years in the position above, as a Service Engineer Automation/Design, as a FORD Customer Support Quality Engineer, or in a related occupation; Will accept five (5) years of work experience in the position above, as a Service Engineer Automation/Design, as a FORD Customer Support Quality Engineer, or in a related occupation, in lieu of the primary work and education requirements.
Experience must include one (1) year use of all the following: ISO/TS 16949:2009 Internal auditor, VDA 6.3 Internal auditor, Problem solving core tools (8D, 315W, 5Why’s), Control Plan/PFMEA and Manufacturing Site Assessment.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
