|Duties and responsibilities
Responsible for the successful launch of major specialized mechatronic projects on time per the customer’s project timing and expectations and within the prescribed financial parameters; interface with all customer personnel and resolve customer issues relating to new and existing programs; guide the project team, which includes Engineering, Production, and Quality regarding project issues; review project proposal/plan to determine timing, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staff requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project;
Establishing a work plan in resource planning tool and providing engineering personnel with development assistance for new and existing programs; track overall project timing and financials on a weekly basis, assure ProKOSTAL is updated, and modify schedule or plans as required; verify that all manufacturing issues are resolved, conduct pre-production and critical design reviews according to KOSTAL procedures, and verify part (component) status readiness and assembly line capacity and readiness; maintain communications with other KOSTAL locations related to the program, maintenance of customers’ planning process, and preparing and conducting R&R in the production facility;
Reduce and eliminate quality concerns or other containment programs; following-up on costs during development, including focusing on all engineering changes and manufacturing equipment; coordinate Quality and Engineering improvement activities; ensure customer requirements are addressed, including selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives and related timing, corrective and preventive actions, and product design and development; utilize Change Management, Cost Management, Resource management, APQP, 8Ds, Run at Rate, PPAP, Six Sigma methodologies, SAP, PFMEA, Microsoft Project, Eshifter technology, and Electro mechanics / Electronic products manufacturing processes to perform duties; and provide recommendations to both internal and external customer personnel.

Bachelors – Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Three (3) years in the position above, as a Program Manager, as a Local Project Manager, or in a related occupation;
Experience must include three (3) years use of all the following: Resource management, APQP, 8Ds, Run at Rate, PPAP, Six Sigma methodologies, SAP, PFMEA, Microsoft Project, Eshifter technology, and Electro mechanics / Electronic products manufacturing processes.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
